Like her great-grandfather, Azula is a strategic genius with a strong narcissim streak who has difficulty feeling empathy for others. Azula is a foil to Zuko, just as Ozai is to Aang, and Sozin is to Roku. Both Zuko and Azula and the great-grandchildren of the Avatar and the Firelord, and their final Agni Kai in “Into the Inferno”, in duet with Aang’s battle with Firelord Ozai, represents the resolution of Roku and Sozin’s story. There’s a lot of textual comparisons between Roku and Zuko (even their names are similar), but I haven’t seen as much about Sozin and Azula.
